This is my second pair of these safety shoes from Xena. They are beautiful and I loved the way they (used) to look. I have had this pair less than a year and they have worn out too quickly especially given the cost (see pictures). I think the manufacturing quality has changed because I wouldn’t have purchased a second set if the first ones looked this bad so soon. I am required to wear safety shoes in the lab at work and I wear these every work day. I may buy another type of Xena shoes, but sadly not another pair of these.

Good day, even that the shoe is beautiful. The quality is not. I received the shoes a month ago and they were not glued correctly. I contacted Customer Service and they just told me... Go and look somebody to fix it and send me the receipt. I really liked the shoes and I asked for a glue recommendation , the same go and look and no bother us with that. What kind of service is that? Those are expendive shoes that I will not recommend to anybodt

I was very excited to find steel toe shoes that are feminine and stylish. I was very excited to receive my shoes - I ordered an 8-1/2 wide, which is a size up from my typical 7-1/2 wide that i order from other brands that are leather. I have very short, yet very wide feet (but not bunions). I was nervous taking the shoes out of the box and looking at them, because even though i ordered wides, the toe box seemed very narrow (and i have a square toe shape instead of a tapered toe shape, which can make steel toes extremely painful in they are not wide enough at the toes). I could not even get my foot into the ankle hole to determine if i liked them. I’m going to exchange for a 9 to see if its any better, but I’m nervous that will just be too long and still not wide enough. It would be great if there was an extra wide option to accommodate those like me that have vertical wide feet, and have to be constrained to steel toes. Its hard because I’m not an operator on the production floor, so have to dress a little nicer, but i spend a lot of time on the production floor, so need the toe protection - and my current shoes just never quite jive with my wardrobe. Will give these another try in a different size, but so far the sizing just isn’t working for me.

I love how they look, how they feel, how safe they are, and that they are a business run by women. I dislike how hard it is to put them on. I hurt myself every morning trying to wear them for almost a month now. It hurts, it’s not easy; the design has got to change the zipper’s length to allow for easier ways to put them on.

These were the first pair of Xena's I ordered (I believe in 2021?). I am an in between size depending on the company, so I ordered a 6.5. It was too small with socks for one of my feet, so I exchanged for a 7. The shoes seems to hit my ankle and don't seem to align with my feet. I tried again and ordered size 7 Omega's only to find the shoes didn't fit well, so I exchanged for wide. They still fit odd. I only wear them for short meetings or site visits, when I want to look nicer. Hopefully they will break in. I'm going to try the Spice boot and if this doesn't work, I'll return it. And wait until Xena products are available in a retail store where I can try them all on to find the right fit.

I was very excited about these shoes but have been disappointed to experience just how slick they are when any kind of oil is around. I've never had any issues with other safety toe shoes and oil, but these are terrible. They are very nice looking and comfortable but from a work standpoint they are not very useful.

I love these shoes. I ordinarily wear 10 1/2 N, and I ordered size 10 1/2. These fit well with a pair of hiking socks. They would be too big in the heel without the socks, but that is fine and expected because these don't purport to be narrow width. Toe and length and true to size. They are so comfortable, stylish, and quick to put on that I find myself reaching for them, even when I don't need a steel-toed shoe. I am already shopping for second pair of Xena shoes.

I wanted to love these booties. I was so impressed by the look and feel and was excited to have some sort of femininity on the jobsite, but the steel in the toe was awful. I felt it every single time I took a step. I felt bruised after a couple of minutes. If the design changes, I'd be more than happy to try these again. Fingers crossed!

I appreciated the truthfulness behind how to break in the shoes. I would add that it might take up to 7 days - it took me longer than 4 days to break into them. Otherwise, this shoe has provided all the protection and fashion I was seeking to perform my job - I do not have to waste my time changing my shoes when going to production from the office anymore.

I own these in brown and I get constant compliments!! It’s my favorite when a location rolls their eyes at my feet then says “we’re sorry but you need a safety toe” my response is always “no worries these are xena’s.” It’s fun to watch the men trip over their words at the assumption my boots were just for looks! I plan to get a new pair soon but haven’t made up my mind which ones!

I bought two pairs in different colors during a sale. I was super excited for them, since the first style I bought from them are comfy and stylish for when I go on site. But as soon as I put them on and started walking around, they weren't just uncomfortable, they were painful. I bought the right size and everything, it's just that the edge of the steel-toe cap presses into the top of my foot as soon as I start walking in them. I could only take a few steps before I had to take them off. Since the material there is steel, it's not an issue of having to "wear in" the shoes, because steel won't mold over the top of my foot. I'm pretty shocked that this shoe has so many good reviews... How are they not painful for everyone? I don't get it. I also don't understand why the pair of boots I do own by them are comfortable and don't have this problem. I'm shocked that this issue didn't come up when they were testing the shoe out. Wild.

I normally wear a size 9 in boots but I saw it mentioned to go up a 1/2 size. The 9.5s fit me perfectly and may be just a tad bit too big but I'd rather it be roomy than too tight. I love the leather and they are just molding to my feet. I didn't have to break them in at all BUT I am HR in manufacturing so I am not really on my feet and in the plant all day long. I love to wear heels but that isn't an option in manufacturing out in the warehouse so I love that I can pop these on and they still go with my outfits. They're also super stinking comfy!

I have to be honest here, if you work in restaurants, these are NOT the non-slip you need. Maybe they work in construction environments but they are as bad as sneakers against water on tile. I slipped almost immediately the first time I wore them to work. I’m disappointed but not surprised. I knew buying them was a risk due to their return policy, there is no way to test their viability at work without wearing them TO work, and they won’t take them back once you do that. They are comfortable and look great, I love the steel toe, I just wish I could find a well made, actually restaurant-level non-slip shoe.

Love the look of the shoes and it meets our safety standards. Unfortunately I've been breaking them in a couple weeks now and the heel portion is quite stiff still and digs in and causes blisters. I think if i can add some cushion to the bottom of my heel and elevate it away from the back of the show it may help, i just don't want to create an unbalanced situation for myself in my attempt to correct it for comfortable wear.
