I love my Xenas! You will have to break them in and because of the construction of the steel toes, it may be painful for the first day or two after wearing them for several hours, but after that, these are like any other shoe. I was so excited to find cute safety boots and took the leap to try em out. Now all the other gals in the office are looking to buy them too!! Super comfy, waterproof, and really sturdy. My safety manager is happy with 'em and the union hall likes my 'bougie' work boots. I got a 10 wide - usually wear an 11 or 10.5 to fit my flintstone feet. The 10 wides fit like a dream. Just had to wear them for a couple of days for the ankle area to fit correctly. Now they're my favorites, I even wear them outside of work! Thanks Xena for making such cute and high quality work boots. Can you do some work pants next for women?????? Kthx.

Ordering online is kinda difficult for me since i have a high instep and fall in between sizes. I order my usual size, but it ended up a bit tight for me, I emailed Xena, and within an hour someone was personally helping through the return/exchange process and checking in with me along the way till the new pair hit my door step. Customer service is an A+ with this company!! Now about the quality---- First of all let me say the second you open the box and pull these boots out you are hit with the organic rich smell of the genuine leather! I wear these on a daily basis, with pride, as they are so stylish. But it is the comfort that will keep me coming back to Xena for additional pairs to add to my collection.

The toe is still a little bulky in look, but hey it's a steel toe. I ended up having to exchange for my normal size 8.5, going up a half size made my heel slip. I tried to wait through the break in period to review. I feel rubbing in the toe area, I hope this goes away as they break in. I usually by good inserts for my steel toes, I was hoping to not have to for these, but I may. there is not as much arch support as I though there would have been for the cost of these. Overall they are much more stylish, and I think with more break in will be more comfortable than my others without inserts.

Hello Xena gals!! I ordered my Xena shoes (that arrived in two days may I add) because I was tired of my feet hurting and going through a pair of shoes every month. I found Xena safety shoes and figured they would be the perfect match for me. My typical work day includes walking around a plant floor to standing on the hard cement all day or just sitting at my desk. I have had my Xena for a little over a month now and have wore them almost everyday to work because they are so comfortable! I absolutely love the boots. I did read the recommendation that says to get the half size up. And some days if I’m walking around a lot it does rub on the pinky toes a bit and it bends where the edge of steel toe is but for the most it’s comfortable.

I'm a third generation farmer that competes with my family's Hereford cattle and Hampshire and Border Leicester sheep at various fairs and stock shows. As important as it is that my animals look their best in the show ring, I also want to present myself well. Whether it's a 1,500-pound cow or a 250-pound ram, when either one steps on your foot it's going to hurt if you're not adequately protected. I was thrilled to find these Xenas. They look incredible with a pair of blue jeans (and it doesn't hurt that they match wonderfully with the dresses I wear to my office job). Most importantly, on top of looking stylish, they protected my feet. On show day at a recent fair when I got stepped on by our Hampshire ram - think pointy hooves that dig into your foot like a spade - I did not feel a thing, and there was barely a scuff mark on the leather. I was able to run around all day on pavement and gravel for three days and my feet weren't blistered or sore. Fashion and function in one package. Highly recommend!

I do really love these boots. They are pretty and the heel is comfortable. I usually wear a 6.5-7, so I ordered the 7. When they arrived I put them on and made some rounds around the house then immediately packed them back up because they were so uncomfortable. A few days later I decided to try them again and wore them for a few hours. This time I determined that I should exchange them for 7.5. The customer service was very helpful and friendly, just a joy to talk to. After I got my new boots in I tried several different inserts before settling on some from Fleet Feet. Inserts are a must because there is zero arch support. It took my feet about three weeks to work up enough calluses on my toes that they didn't hurt. They are just so hard, I guess because they are steel toed. The first week was a big workout for my hips and thighs because they are heavy, but hey, I needed that. They are pretty and I love wearing them, but after three months I still can't get through an entire shift without my feet killing me. I've found that they are fine for up to four hours, anything more and my feet hurt so bad. I'm server at a high end restaurant, so I love the look compared to the plain made-for- restaurant shoes, this is why I've continued to wear them (and I'm a cheap scape who's determined to get my money's worth out of them). Also, after a couple months, the leather on the top of the toe started to get scratched up. They are not none slip, which doesn't effect me except for at the end of the night when we're mopping. To sum up, I love the look and comfort of the heel. I don't love how hard they are, very uncomfortable.

I wanted to wait a little bit to write this review, but after these past two weeks I can't wait any longer! I first heard about Xenas back in January and ordered a pair off of the weathered collection. Unfortunately, they were a size too big (I ordered up a size from a lot of suggestions and they were actually too big) and so I had to return them. I didn't get around to ordering another pair until the end of September and I am so bummed that I waited as long as I did! #1 Their customer service is phenomenal. #2. I wore these shoes for 7 days straight - The two weekend days after they came in the mail to break them in and then five, 8-hour work days on the plant floor working on medical grade industrial washers. When I would get home I wouldn't do my normal "dance" to jump out of my steel toes and get comfy clothes/shoes on. I actually was happy to stay put in the Xenas the rest of the evening while running errands too. I will say overall I give them a 9/10. They definitely could use some inserts or more cushion on the sole of the inside especially for those of us on concrete floors all day, but I really was not bothered at much and they are 10 times lighter than my Docs which is a huge plus because my ankles did not hurt at the nd of the day from wearing 10000 pound boots lol. If you are on the fence about trying these, I say go for it! I would just recommend ordering your actual shoe size instead of a size up like a lot of people suggest.

I love these shoes! I wear them all the time to work (healthcare, physician, business casual dress code), both on the inpatient and outpatient side. They are comfortable to wear even during 10-12+ hour days. (I have also gotten a ton of compliments on them from coworkers!) It took ~2-3 days to break in. I am normally a size 7, ordered a 7.5, and will probably order another pair in the near future. :)

My Xenas are absolutely amazing! I got the Gravity shoe, though I think I would opt for a 'no heel' style next time. The heel is cute and stylish, but it makes my toes slide forward slightly. Normally, this is not a concern, but with the steel toe it can rub a little on the toes. I did try going up a size, but that was too big and my whole foot slid around the shoe. I typically wear a size 9 in shoes, though I would say my foot is more of an 8.75 - which obviously doesn't exist. I sized up to a 9.5 originally, but ended up going with a size 9 as it was more comfortable and easier to work in. If I were a solid 9 normally, the 9 would have been too small so definitely order up a half size. These shoes are so adorable that I receive compliments on them as a regular shoe. When I am walking through construction sites I love to see all the people dying to ask me why I am not wearing steel toe boots. The look on their faces when I show them that I am, indeed, wearing a safety shoe is absolutely priceless. These boots are 100% worth it and I have already recommended them to some colleagues. I love my Xena boots!

So, I little long but bare with me. I wear a size 9/9.5 depending on the shoe so the first pair I ordered was a size 10. I’ve never worn steel toes before so I thought the pain will go away. After two months, I was down to toenails and was like there’s no way I can Lantus. But I got so many compliments I didn’t want to downgrade to ugly steel toes. So I thought maybe they were too big and I ordered a size 9 wide. Still way too small so I ordered a 9 1/2. Again, way too small. I just got my 9 1/2 wide and OMG, it’s like the best feeling I’ve had in 2 months. The size DEFINITELY matters. If you get the wrong size, try again (and again) until you find the ones that truly fit. The break in period will not stretch the toe out like on normal shoes because obviously you can’t stretch steel, so you should know as soon as you put your foot in if they are too big/small. I got a girl at work wearing them and she tried 3 different sizes as well. Now she loves them too. You may be impatient but I promise it’s worth sending shoes back and forth until you find the right fit.
