Why full-grain leather
Full-grain is the top, strongest layer of the hide — it is breathable, naturally water-resistant, and it develops a patina that only looks better with wear.
Built for a woman’s foot
Premium leather means nothing if the shoe doesn’t fit. Every style is engineered on a women’s last so it holds your heel and supports your arch.
What’s better than Full Grain leather?
Honestly…nothing. It is the ultimate choice for a work shoe - Instead of cracking or degrading under heavy daily wear, it breathes naturally and molds to your foot over time to provide superior, long-lasting comfort
FAQ
What is full-grain leather?
The top, strongest layer of the hide - prized for durability, breathability, and how well it ages. This is the highest grade of leather, not to be confused with “genuine leather” which is lower grade.
Is full-grain leather waterproof?
No, by the technical definition of what “waterproof” means. Full Grain leather is naturally water-resistant and breathable but we wouldn’t recommend standing in a river in it. For full waterproofing, choose the Luna or Horizon.
Which Xena styles use full-grain leather?
The Omega, Spice, Nova, Gravity, Vega, Fusion, Rogue, and the full-grain Valence.
What does LWG Gold mean?
Leather Working Group (Gold-rated) – a certification awarded to leather tanneries that meet stringent environmental and operational standards. LWG looks at areas such as Water usage and Wastewater treatment, Energy consumption and Greenhouse gas emissions, Chemical management and Worker health and safety among others.
