I absolutely love Xena work boots. This is my 5th pair. Xena provides fashionable work boots for women with large feet. They are stylish and comfortable. It's great to be able to wear work appropriate shoes that look good with dress clothes. I recommend frequently to all my coworkers and friends in the manufacturing setting.

Shoes looks great. Shoes feel great. Took several days to break in but reasonable. Three weeks in (15 days of wearing for 8 hours in mixed office and plant setting) the liner above the toe box where the steel toe ends began tearing on the right shoe The creates uncomfortable rubbing on my toe through my sock. While this happens in steel toe shoes, never happened to me in 3 weeks. 25 years of steel toe wearing. Customer service requested I repair and they reimburse me. There are very few shoe repair shops these days so my time to invest in finding one and then driving to one and the unknown of the reimbursement amount that will be covered left me feeling like there is a gap in customer service for defects in their manufacturing process. While I like to support woman owned companies, I Decided to go with a larger known brand in the future that better handles defective shoe replacement. I work hard for my money and $200 is an investment in shoes that should last more than the shoes you can pick up at cheaper price points.

These are beautiful, well made, sturdy shoes! They pair well with jeans or dress pants, I haven’t worn them with dresses though im sure that would work as well. I especially live that they’re steel-toe and I can wear them when I ride my motorcycle to work but still want to look polished and professional!

My husband bought me the Gravity ESD shoes for Christmas two years ago. I guess they were the precursor of these Gravity SD shoes. With very limited wear over two years, they are not holding up. They're past the 6 month warranty period so I'm out of luck. The heel side trim has delaminated, the tongue stitching has come apart and the soles on both shoes are separating. For such pricey shoes I expect more. I hoped Xena worked out their quality control issues with this version of the Gravity shoe.

My friend and I work in manufacturing and asked our EHS&S if we can get these shoes for the floor knowing the heel might not fly but it was more the high heel, low ankle combo. Very stylish shoe! I have to dress up but also be on the manufacturing floor occasionally. They are not very comfortable though. I could not be on my feet all day in them. I wear an 8.5 in all shoes and got these in a 9 and they’re perfect.

I absolutely love them. However after a couple hours and all the walking I do in them was wondering if there was a way to add cushion to the shoe where the steel toe is? Or if there was thick toe socks you’d recommend to wear with them? I got a half size bigger like recommended and they fit good just the steel toe start to both the top of the toes after walking miles within a couple hours. A thicker around the toe no show sock would be a perfect fix for this issue. Or just more padding around the steel part inside the boot itself.

Shipping was fast, and the shoes look fine/as expected. The reason I am giving this a 4 is because of fit specifically for my foot. I normally wear a 9.5 and ordered a 10. I did this after measuring my foot according to their size guide and finding that the 9.5 would probably have been a little uncomfortable. I am a Brannock 8.5B based on my arch length, and my foot is slightly more narrow than the B width (but much closer to B than A). I have a very average instep. And I do not regret getting a size 10 or ordering the shoe. HOWEVER, I want to emphasize that this shoe is *not* for those with narrow feet. I have sliightly more narrow than medium width feet and with cushy socks, these shoes still leave room to wiggle my toes. I also have somewhat narrow ankles. Therein lies the real problem. These shoes do not feel secure because of the looseness of the ankle area, especially with the added elastic. It feels like wearing a slip-on mule in some ways. I can walk very comfortably around a factory or my lab, but I would probably never run anywhere in these (which is normally my standard for heels). I'll be putting some padding in the back to help with the fit a little more, but I can tell that there is a limit to how secure these will ever feel. I would guess that this design is a great adaptation/accessibility feature for most people, but because of the relative size of my ankles, it will always feel almost unnecessarily roomy. TL;Dr: I like them and will keep them, but I do not recommend for people with actually narrow feet (check your Brannock size!) and ankles. I put my Brannock size in my review because it is universal unlike company shoe sizing.

Sadly, these shoes are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. If you have high arches, the insoles will need to be switched out, the arch support is virtually non existent. The top of the shoe does slightly press into the top of my foot. Not too tight, but just enough that the top of my feet really hurt by the end of the day. This should resolve itself as the shoes break in, but the worst part is the amount of pressure on the balls of my feet, due to the slight angle of the "heel" on the shoes. I DID put my favorite insoles in them, for a bit of cushioning, but they were of no help whatsoever due to how stiff and rock hard the footbed is in these. The first day I wore them at work, after having them on for only a half hour, I think I actually pulled something in the ball of my foot, behind my big toe, due to the amount of pressure on it. At least that is what it felt like. I was walking funny for the rest of the day to avoid the sharp shooting pain I was feeling. They ARE cute, but I will only put them on, when I arrive at a customer site that requires steel toes, while I am in the parking lot. Then take them off immediately, when I get back to my truck. Sadly, I wish I did not waste my money on these. And ugly but comfortable (as in not painful!) steel toe shoe would have been a wiser choice. But this is my first time needing steel toe shoes, and I wanted something cute. That was a big mistake. Also, do NOT go by the shoe size chart on the site! I normally wear a size 8 1/2 - 9, but according to the size chart on this site, my shoe size is a 9 1/2, AND they recommend getting a 1/2 size larger. So I ordered a 10, and they were WAY too big. Had to return/exchange them for a 9, which was definitely the correct size for me.

I came from an office job to a production support role in a warehouse. I went from fun outfits to a uniform. The one item of attire that was the hardest to "elevate" was my shoes. I wanted something that still looks office professional but met the safety requirements of the facility. Xena was the perfect intersection. I would agree with some reviews that the shoe is a bit small the first few wears, but mine has now adjusted to my feet and they fit as they should in my regular street size. I love that Xena is women owned and making products for real working women. I am excited to see their new sneaker and possibly add to my collection.

I like the look of the shoe. However, it took me over 20 minutes to put one shoe on. The steel in the shoe makes it challenging to put on the shoe. After struggling for over 20 minutes to put on one shoe, I could only wear the shoes for about 10 minutes as my feet were in so much painful that I had to take the shoes off. I will never again wear these shoes. I will not recommend these shoes to my over 10,000 coworkers.

Very stylish and was exactly what I was looking for. However, the steel toe squeezes my toes, even though I purchased a wide width. I’m by no-means overweight so my feet aren’t “fluffy”, just flat. Also because of the elevated shoe my toes slide into the steel toe. There is no padding to cushion your toes, so they’re essentially ramming into the steel toe with every step. As a woman who works in the labor industry, I’m on my feet in these boots for an average of 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. After a month of breaking them in, the problem has gotten worse. I must say, after spending $200 on a pair of work boots, I’m extremely disappointed!!! I’ll be going back to my $50 Walmart boots. They’re much more comfortable. I was so excited to find a website that supported women in the work force with style and class, just to be equally excited to take off these feet wreckers the minute I get to my truck in the parking lot. The only way I would recommend this website to anyone is if the sent me a free pair to try in a different style without the hassle of sending these ones back and waiting for a new pair, which I, yet again have to break in. I’m so sick of my feet hurting and have never had a pair of boots hurt so bad.

I bought my gravity safety shoes in 2021 and just had them resoled. The leather is still in excellent shape and showing only minimal wear. The replacement soles I got have better traction than the originals (which were quite slick on most kinds of interior flooring). From what I can tell that's been fixed in the current version of the shoe! Love to see something good get even better!

My only issue was I initially sized up from my normal 8 to an 8.5. Since my foot and ankles are thin this was a bad call. However the new ones fit beautifully. Was able to wear only them comfortably through a week long work trip in Europe. Great shoe option for me to have for client visits and important meetings without having to a shoe change out to go on a shop floor or in our labs.
