Steel-toe protection, finally built for you.
We got tired of cramming women’s feet into shrunk-down men’s boots — so we threw out the men’s mold and engineered every steel toe on a women’s last: narrower heel, higher arch, lower ankle. The payoff is real ASTM F2413 protection that actually fits. Find a pair of safety shoes with slip-resistant outsoles and premium leather that look good enough to wear outside of work.

Steel toe shoes built for a woman’s foot
Most so-called ‘women’s’ safety shoes are just smaller men’s molds — which is why they slip at the heel, press across the toes, and leave your arch unsupported. We start over on a women’s last, so the steel cap sits where your toes actually are and the shoe holds your heel instead of fighting it. Warehouse associates, manufacturing employees, mechanics, and industrial professionals often prefer steel toe shoes for their balance of protection, comfort, and mobility.
All day comfort
Long shifts on concrete are the real test. Every pair combines a cushioned, removable, antimicrobial footbed with slip-resistant (SR) outsoles rated for wet and dry floors. Our footwear is purposefully designed to be flexible and without the bulky extra material that comes with a shrunk-down men’s boot.
Boot protection, sneaker comfort
Steel toe shoes provide the same ASTM-certified toe protection as steel toe boots in a lighter, lower-profile design. They're ideal for indoor work environments where ankle support isn't the top priority.
FAQ
Do women’s steel toe shoes run small?
It depends on the style — some Xena models fit true to size and some run a half-size small. Each product page lists its recommendation, and our Find My Size suggests your size in three quick questions. Unlike in other shoes, in safety shoes it’s a good idea to go with a Wide even if you’ve never worn one before — it’s the most common question we get!
Are Xena steel toe shoes OSHA-compliant?
Yes. Every model is ASTM F2413-certified — the standard OSHA relies on — and passes I/75 C/75 impact and compression testing. We can send the full certification report for your employer on request.
What’s the difference between a steel toe and a composite toe?
Both protect to the same ASTM standard and are nearly the same weight. Composite is metal-free so it won’t conduct heat or cold, but it does look more bulky than steel, which offers great protection in a sleeker profile.
Do you offer wide widths?
Yes — most Xena steel toe styles come in regular and wide. Select your width on the product page, or call us for a personalized fit consultation.
