Built for the job site.
Construction and the trades demand a boot that protects your toes, grips wet and uneven ground, and holds up shift after shift. Every Xena style here is ASTM F2413-certified and engineered on a women’s last — with the slip resistance and electrical-hazard protection that real site work calls for.

What to look for in a construction boot
Start with a protective toe (ASTM F2413), then add the hazards your site brings: electrical-hazard protection for live circuits, puncture resistance for nails and debris, a metatarsal guard for heavy materials, and slip-resistant outsoles for wet, uneven ground.
Built for a woman’s foot
Most ‘women’s’ work boots are shrunk-down men’s molds that slip and pinch. We start on a women’s last so the boot holds your heel and supports your arch — a boot that fits is a boot that protects on uneven ground.
Match the boot to your hazards
The Fusion adds a metatarsal guard for falling objects; the Horizon is a puncture-resistant alloy-toe lace-up with deep tread for durability; the steel-toe Omega, Spice and Nova bring EH, slip resistance, and style points. All are ASTM F2413-certified to I/75 C/75.
FAQ
What safety features do I need for construction?
It really depends on your role on a construction site and your company’s requirements. If you’re doing light duty or project management, often having a closed toe, thick soled boot might be sufficient. We take safety super seriously so we would always advise to wear a protective toe (ASTM F2413), slip resistant boot, even if your company doesn’t require it. To be extra safe, you could also go for Puncture Resistant (PR) protection for heavy-material work.
Are Xena boots OSHA-compliant for construction?
Yes - every style is ASTM F2413-certified, the standard OSHA relies on, and passes I/75 C/75 impact and compression testing. While OSHA does not require construction workers to wear steel-toe boots, they DO require them whenever there is a risk to the feet, which is more often than not.
Which Xena styles are best for construction?
For heavier duty, our PR-rated Horizon and Luna are perfect while for medium and lighter duty, our gorgeous Omega, Spice, Valence, and Fusion are incredibly popular. If you’re not 100% sure, check out our reviews and do a search for “construction”
Do you offer waterproof options for outdoor sites?
Yes - the Luna is fully waterproof, our Horizon is functionally waterproof, and all of our leather and vegan-leather styles are water resistant.
