I'm a woman plant manager who spends time with customers, suppliers and in business meetings, but also as much time as possible in production. It's a dual role and it needs a dual role shoe and those are hard to find for women. I can't wear a steel toe pump or "loafer" on the floor and not feel lame. I can't wear a lace up hiker steel toe in a meeting and feel right either. Men have it so much easier for shoes. These are expensive, but they are the best looking steel toe I've had or seen. Appearance wise - I can justify the price tag. Comfort wise - I am not overwhelmed with joy. They are quite stiff around the ankle to the point of kind of pushing my ankle forward. They are very hard to get on - need to use that loop or else it will not happen. They don't seem deep from sole to top, so I have to wear pretty thick socks to avoid rubbing. I am hoping they break in a little bit, as I couldn't wear them for an 8-12 hour shift on concrete. If you have high arches or are on the cusp of 1/2 size in your normal shoe - I would go 1/2 size bigger with these.

I tried out my shoes at work today, they were extremely comfortable for all-day wear from the office to the job site. They are light weight, easy to walk, drive and climb ladders in and anything else you could possibly need on site. They look great in person and the toe is very strong. You absolutely get your money's worth. For reference, I normally wear a 7 (sometimes 7 wide) and ordered a 7.5.

I initially ordered the boots to my normal size of 8.5. When the boots arrived, they were really snug so I decided to exchange for a size up. Very light weight and comfortable compared to my old safety shoes. I love the chic look of the black Omega boot. I thought I would have to break them in, but they are comfortable from the start. My only recommendation would be to get them a full size up from whatever you normally wear. That way you have extra room to put in some Xtra cushy inserts. I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE YOUR OMEGA VEGAN EH SAFETY BOOTS! I work in the very early mornings for Costco in the freezer. Since the pandemic started I have been worked to the very last bone in my feet and have blown through so many cheap steel toe shoes. After endlessly looking online for shoes that would actually work for me, I am so happy I found you! I have only had my shoes for a week but they are beyond perfect. Being in the freezer I was always sliding around in my old shoes but these boots actually work and grip on the floor. I ordered a full size up, but the toe box is just too narrow and smashed at my toes. They felt bruised at the end of my shift. I had high hopes for these boots, they just fell short of expectations.

This is the first pair of steel toe boots I’ve owned. I appreciate that they’re not clunky man shoe. It took several days to breaks them in. I ordered a 1/2 size larger but have has to stuff the toe otherwise my feet slide. The toe width is narrow. Hopefully it will give a bit more with time.

The whole reason I ordered from Xena was for the Saddle Orange Gravity book. I wore them around at home as recommended and they were uncomfortable. The site indicates that they do need a lengthy break in period. So, I wore them to work one day. At the end of that day, I had a very deep sore on a toe and the balls of my feet were very painful. Even going back to other shoes, my feet hurt for weeks after. Because I had worn them to work, they would only accept an exchange and they recommended the Omega. They are taking a long time to break in, but they aren't causing problems. I would say, of other boots I've worn for work, they are about the same in comfort. Their advantage is that the steel toe is much narrower, but I think for anyone with arthritis or anything other than a nice narrow foot, that is a problem. I'll keep the Omega because they are fine and I've also worn them to work, but I guess I just wasn't as impressed as the reviews I read.

I bought these boots at the start of my home reno and ended up wearing them almost every day for about 4 straight months. I just moved in (finally) and climbed a ladder to do some paint touch ups in regular shoes for about 2 hours and now the balls of my feet are killing me. This just made me realize I didn't have foot pain a single time in 4 months of wearing my work boots sometimes 10-12 hours a day so I decided to sit down and write this review. I hung off ladders, smashed plaster (much of which fell on my safe and snug feet), carried loads and loads of over-heavy garbage bags, and who even remembers what else in these boots. To top it all, they still look great (albeit dinged up and in need of another polish). I'm usually a high heels girl, but I love them and they make me feel like a BAMF who might actually know what she's doing. Do yourself a favor and buy them.
