Do not buy if you do a lot of walking around. These shoes were cute but I walk at least 10,000 steps in 5 hours of my job and my feet were killing me! I gave it time to "break in", which was about 2-3 weeks and they were still hurting. I was then advised to wear thicker socks, which I did and nothing helped. These shoes are cute but we're not comfortable to wear at my job. I wasted $200 on shoes I couldn't wear anymore and when I tried to get a refund, my shoes were too "worn out" or damaged to be qualified for a return.. but I kept giving the shoe time to "break in". So I would not advise these shoes if you walk a lot for your job, only if you sit and do minimal walking.

This is THE safety shoe for me, it is stylish AND at the same time compliant with every safety regulation. I have worked in Manufacturing for the past 15 years and finally the perfect shoe. The details are everything, the individual packaging of each shoe and the fact that it comes with a card with its specifications, the details are everything. Received them a few days ago and have only worn them once but they are perfect. I wear a normal 8.5 and I ordered a 9, perfect fit. ALL THE STARS! So happy!

My daughter is a Technology Engineering Education major. She had a pair of workboots, which she has worn for about three years and they are worn out. For Christmas, she asked for these brown steel-toed boots from Xena. Not only did they "not disappoint," my daughter loves them so much, they are now her go-to shoe/boot. We ordered a half size up (she is typicially an 8.5 and we went with a 9). They fit so well. They are so comfortable. They look so good, and she says they feels so good also. No rubs or blisters. She doesn't need to suffer a "breaking in period" with these boots. They are fantastic! These beautiful functional boots will last a long time. And all that said, I may order her a pair a year each Christmas so she can "rotate out" and have a selection to choose from over time. I was concerned the boots might not fit (and truly hate ordering shoes online because sizing is so random and my daughter has wide feet (and I didn't think to see if they had wide). But we had great communication and follow-up from the time I purchased the boots, so I knew if we had any sizing issues, we could return for an exchange without any hassle. It was a pleasure to do business with Xena. We highly recommend their boots and business., It was nice to do business with a woman-owned business. Of course they make the perfect boot! They know exactly what women wearing a workboot need!

Bought the shoes earlier this year. Went from working in the field to a PM job. Still have to be on the job site a lot. They look more professional then my field boots. They are comfortable enough, and have stood up relatively well to my 10 hour days on and off the site. However the zipper broke on the one. With how expensive they are, I would expect the zipper to last longer then a few months. Here's hoping I get a year out of them.

These steel toe boots fit wonderfully. I can easily wear them 12 hours on concrete floors with no discomfort. That’s saying something! I might get my normal size next time instead of going up a half sz because there’s some extra room but I hope these last for a long time! I ordered these shoes for work in a restaurant. I wanted something slip resistant and sophisticated looking. My feet are on the wider side, so I went up a size and ordered the wide. They are still extremely narrow. By the end of my 9 hour shift, my toes were in terrible pain from the pressure. There is also zero arch support. My feet were throbbing by the end of the day. The most disappointing issue after the lack of comfort, is the fact that these shoes are not slip resistant at all. I almost fell three times in one shift on damp surfaces. If you are someone that works in the restaurant industry, I would not buy these shoes. They are a fairly expensive shoe that you will not be able to work in. Extremely disappointed.

I found Xena on a whim and LOVED the concept! I finally ordered a pair of Omegas when I transitioned from a construction HSE role into manufacturing HSE. The shoes are properly rated, well made, and look great! I get asked all the time if these are actually safety rated. I ordered a half size up, as recommended, and in wide. For reference, my feet are around 4” wide. You can’t imagine my excitement when I saw the inclusive size and fit of these shoes! The boots are plenty wide and didn’t require breaking in for that portion of the shoe. Now that I’ve worn the boots around the facility I know should’ve ordered my normal size - my feet are starting to slide around. Too late to exchange now but I won’t hesitate to order another pair for the quality product I’m getting.

I had an ankle injury and needed some footwear that supported my ankle (to keep it from twisting) but also looked nice enough that I could wear them to the office. These babies are it. They felt clunky at first, and I was a bit peeved because breaking in shoes has always been a pain for me, but after about two days they felt fantastic. They're super comfortable, I've walked on dirt trails and they're still a shiny black, and they look *** as ****. So yeah, 10/10, they met and exceeded my expectations, I'll be getting another pair of these next year and I look forward to more styles coming out.

Ladies... if you are on the fence about purchasing these boots...DO NOT BE! I waited for so long and wasted so much money on other work boots that are sold locally. These boots are worth the money and they arrived promptly. After submitting my order I realized I had ordered the wrong color, and customer service was amazing and handled it right away. When I got the boots, I wore them around my house as suggested to check the fit. Once I knew that was ok, I went ahead and wore them to work but took my old shoes just in case I needed to switch up. There was no breaking in phase for me, I walked, climbed ladders, stairs, etc and they were so comfortable. I got so many compliments on the look of them. I just love them. I loved how they were packaged and the quotes written on the box too. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!

These shoes are AMAZING! I have worn so many pairs of steel toes and they are all bulky, heavy, clunky, and need to get broken in. When I put these on for the first time I was SHOCKED at how comfortable they are, and they are SO light weight. You don't need to break them in at all - comfortable and ready to go the first time! Most people don't even realize they are steel toes! These are my go-to when I am traveling for work now because of how light they are, and they look professional to boot. Love that they come with a travel bag to keep the rest of my suitcase contents clean as well. I've turned on so many people to this brand! Keep up the amazing work!

I’m writing this review after owning these boots for 5 months. I was so excited to find some cute steel toes with so many good reviews. They took 4 weeks of me wearing them for them to break in. After they got broken in they are an ok comfort. And now the zippers won’t stay up. Over all pretty disappointed.

I was excited for these shoes because I had been unable to find a safety toe in my size (w7). However I was disappointed when I received them because the safety toe was more of a safety foot. I was unable to bend my foot and walk because the safety toe went more than half way up the shoe. I was also disappointed in the leather quality and the zipper being on the outside of the ankle rather than the inside of the ankle. These shoes also appear to not be re-soleable. I am excited for this company filling this niche but I have returned my boots and will come back when they have a more quality boot (leather, sole, proportions) that I would be willing to pay more for.

I have BEEN eyeing these for AGES, and FINALLY pulled the trigger. Shipping was fast, and they were GORGEOUS! I normally wear a 10, so I followed the recommendation and got a 10.5. Around the house, they were a smidge tight, but nothing more than most normal workboots with two pairs of wool socks, so I wore them to work the next day. BIG MISTAKE. My left foot felt like my toes were going to bruise up and fall off, and my right foot didn't feel much better. Luckily, that day I didn't have a lot of walking to do on the floor, so I limped around doing office work. Xena's customer service is PHENOMENAL, and we got another pair shipped out (10W). When they arrived, they were still a smidge tight in my left foot, but my right foot felt phenomenal. The first week at work with these, my pinky toe on my left foot did feel a little upset, but they are broken in now, and I LOVE them! I have had questions like, "Are those really steel toes?!" and "They're a woman owned business?" and "I need a pair!". I am VERY thankful for ya'll! The ONLY critique I have about the shoe, is the outside zipper. Like many others have said, that aspect seems a bit oddly placed for me, but it's not a dealbreaker. I love these boots, and I will update more as I use them! (1/12/2022)
