I have been breaking in my new Xenas for a few days now. I LOVE the way they look and the slip resistant bottoms have proven effective. I ended up trading mine for my normal size instead of going 1/2 size up as they were a little big even with a thick sock. I recommend true to size or the heels will slip slightly when you walk. I am on my feet a lot at construction sites and these are comfy all day long. I agree with the other reviews that you will want to break them in for a few days before wearing during a full 8 hours.

I love my Xena's! I didn't need to size up like the description says. As a runner, I've gotten used to getting shoes with a little room so my running shoe size is my Xena size. I'm the purchasing and receiving manager for nutrition services in a hospital, so the steel-toe and non-slip are essential for me. The non-slip isn't the best I've ever had - but it still passes!

I love the shoes but i found that when i sit on my feet at work to do something on the floor, the zipper presses really hard against my ankle and is extremely uncomfortable. I doubt it’s a common position among women in the trade so it isn’t a pressing problem. Changing the zipper from the outside of the shoe to this inside would solve this unless theres an absolute reason the zipper is on the outside.

Wearing safety boots has never been a pleasant experience for me. I'm petite size and those boots usually are heavy but I love wearing Xena boots. Looks crisp and light that I can wear whole day. Nice boots, short break in time. I sized up (normally 9.5, got a 10) based off other reviews and they fit perfectly. I could feel the compression toe the first few days, but they have broke in since and no longer notice it. I will be adding cushioned insoles, and wish they had a little more padding around the ankle- but all in all love them. It’s so nice to have women’s boots for the construction site. If they were manufactured in USA id love them 10X’s more! Definitely will be purchasing another pair.

I took advantage of the International Women's day discount and am so happy with my purchase. The shoes are incredibly comfortable and so stylish, talk about a marriage between function and form! I have received so many compliments walking through my shop. The shoes were expertly crafted, I was worried about ordering the wide as i wasn't sure the shoe would be wide enough. After 3 babies my feet did not shrink to their old size and I have a hard time finding wide sized shoes. These were perfect! It really is a beautiful shoe that I am proud to wear.

I see you offer wide options now and I’m super pumped! I have noticed in other wide steel toe boots that the boot itself is wide but not the actual steel toe insert, leading to the same discomfort, if not more. Overall I love the boots. I got wide width because I spread my toes out and need the extra space. They are beautiful and I’ve gotten lots of compliments on them. They do make my joint where my right big toe connects to my foot hurt, which is worrying (but not the left?). I could use some more cushioning in the insole because I walk on cement floors all day so I’m going to swap them out for cushy dr.scholls ones (which I hope help my toe?). I wish the zipper was on the other side of the boot. I recently developed back pain and it was hard to get the boots zipped and unzipped because it was hard to reach. Also if I have to sit on the ground in them and move around the zipper pulls always start poking into the sides of my ankles. Overall I do love the boots and am putting these things in my review incase if Xena is looking for improvement ideas for the boots. If you’re looking for a beautiful, classy, hardworking boot, these are a great choice!

These boots are indeed stylish and my coworkers did not believe they were safety boots. However buyer beware as once you receive these boots, they state that they do not do returns/exchanges due to being a small business and to make sure the fit is good because if there is any indication of wear they won't accept it back. This makes no sense to me as it states it takes a few wears to break in the boots to make sure it's comfortable. But what if it's still not? I understand this is a small business but I honestly still feel disappointed that the option isn't there. At first, my boots fit perfectly so I was excited to wear them. But I can't predict the future on how it will feel wearing it out. Mind you I work 12-13 hour days in a warehouse environment and walk on average 10 miles during those days. These boots are NOT meant for this. After 1 day my feet were blistered and my legs were literally numb! I was limping by the end of the night. I didn't touch my boots since then and they've been sitting at the door for a month now since I'm stuck with them and with the return/exchange policy, I can't do much about it. It took about a week for my feet to recover! So if you're in a work environment like mine and think you can still feel stylish with these, save the money and get some ugly but comfortable safety boots. It's not worth it for the health of your feet.

I am an 8.5 but I do have narrow feet and ankles, and I found the 8.5 a big loose. I wear them with thick wool socks and they’ve fit perfectly. I know many of you sized up so I wanted to make the comment that this may not apply for narrow feet! They are the most expensive shoes I’ve ever purchased for work or personal use and I did the quad pay option, which was awesome!
