Love the boots. I wish the sizes over 10 came in wide. I got a 10W due to the need for a special insole and thank goodness because the toe box was very narrow even for a regular foot without insoles. My foot is on the narrow side, so they work, but hoping the larger sizes have more width options down the road for people with extra room needs whether it be foot width or extra padding/orthotics! This can only allow even more appeal from all those hard working ladies out there!

They didn’t need to be broken in, they are beautiful, and very durable! I definitely recommend sizing up a half size as the size chart recommends. I measured a 9 and bought a 9.5 and they are perfect!

Shipping: the shoes arrived bent from how they had been shipped in the box. It was a bummer to receive them with some creases already but they eventually went away. Initially the shoes were very uncomfortable to wear. I did keep wearing them and they started to feel a lot more comfortable. I like that they are stylish and have good grip. The toe box is fairly narrow so if you have wider feet, this might not be the right shoe.

Hands down THE BEST safety boots: actually and thoughtfully designed for women. They are so comfortable and beautiful that I would wear them as part of my Fall looks even when not on site! I used to get so much pain and exhaustion in my feet by the end of my site walks even with expensive high quality boots. Because they were mainly designed for men. So even if I got my old boots in my size, they really didn’t provide the right support. These boots, are different! They are unbelievably LIGHT and FLEXIBLE, Two qualities you don’t expect from a steel toe boot, which makes them unbelievably comfortable for a day long walk around a construction site. One more comfort note is that I am now wearing these around a site while 5 months pregnant, and I don’t think I would have been able to do it without them! Bonus on top of the comfort and safety is is that you feel stylish wearing them and all your coworkers complement you on your look! People ask “are these actual steel toes?”

These boots are stylish for safety boots. The half-size up recommendation is spot on. The first one or two days they were a little too stiff in the upper but they are great now. I only thing I could wish for would be a more padded insole to make them feel more cushy on the bottom of the foot bed.

I first tried the combat boots. They did not fit right. I tried a size big and they were too big. I went down a size and then my foot just didn’t fit right. They were very helpful in trying to find the correct size. I decided to try this boot, and it fits wonderfully! I was leery of purchasing a different kind. I am so happy I tried. They are very very comfortable. It is suggested that you break them in at home before wearing them out. The same day I got them I wore them out, as they fit so wonderfully.

AND support a woman owned business, even better! I wish the boots had an 11.5, I'm typically an 11 and 11 fits, but they are definitely cozy. I'm excited to see the new pants and hope the clothing line continues to expand! Blazers with a "tall" or longer sleeve option would be amazing. I was so happy to see the pants with a tall inseam :) as someone who's 6' tall it's hard to find workwear that fits properly and looks professional. I took a chance on an Instagram ad and it paid off. These are probably the best boots I have ever bought. I tried every other mainstream brand of boot at the mall, REI, farm supply store, workwear store and they did not fit my wide feet with a high instep. The Xena wide sizes are ACTUALLY wide! And they had room to fit my custom inserts. I wear them to work everyday and they are fashionable enough to wear out on the town. I will definitely be getting more in the future. Thank you for making these! I usually wear a 9 and went up a half size as recommended and they fit perfect out of the box.

Poor quality!! Purchased these boots and within first two weeks of wearing them zipper broke and material ripped on toe. I purchased the grey boots in a 9.5 wide… while I generally don’t have a wide foot and usually wear an 8-9. These boots were so tight. I’ve had them since November of 2022 (it’s not August of 2023) I’ve worn them atleast 2-3 times a week for 10hours a day and these boots still haven’t stretched any. Just beware to order a whole size up and order wide to be on the safe side. I’ve held off on a review just to see if they would stretch and they don’t. WITH ALL THIS BEING SAID, as much as they’ve been through (I’m a project inspector for roads and bridges) They STILL look new and have no scratches, stains, or anything. I will order another pair just a whole size up instead of a half size next time for extra room.

I am a videographer in the field hauling and moving heavy gear all day. The style of these boots is so cute but I am severely disappointed in the fit and comfort. My feet hurt and I dread putting these on for the day. I purchased extra thick boot socks and got a custom insole but per the recommendation of the site I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal size and they are so uncomfortable. My heels slide around in the back due to having so much room and my toes hit uncomfortably against the steel. I will keep them for the style and safety but I am sadly disappointed in these and won’t repurchase in the future. They also arrived scuffed and sloppy.

I received these boots as a birthday present in Nov 2022. I've worn them daily since and I tend to walk around 4 miles a day. These boots are IT. I sized up a half size and got wide "just in case" and the fit is PERFECT. I've never experienced discomfort or blisters / rubbing. They're starting to show some wear, but I am hard on footwear and these are my favorite pair of shoes in general. Even on my off days, I wear them. Xena PLEASE restock or make more of the high boots (I'm an 8.5 wide). I need every style and every color.

I'm on my third pair of Xena boots and I could never wear anything else to work! I'm a refinery safety engineer so I'm not stranger to tromping around through all kinds of outdoor conditions and my boots have held up so well. The sizing does run a little small so you'd definitely want to go at least a 1/2 size up as instructed. But they're still the most comfortable and stylish boots I've ever owned! My poor ankles used to hurt all the time from my old boots (we don't have to name names but it rhymes with fed swing) being so heavy and clunky. I also felt like I tripped all the time. But these are so lightweight while still being protective that I haven't had any of those issues. I'm definitely a Xena girlie! So much so that I've convinced so many of my female coworkers to also switch over! We love being stylish, comfortable, and functional.

The shoes in the picture are the shoes I bought last year. They were totally worn out and (the seams of) my right shoe started to fall apart 2 weeks before I had worn them for 1 year. The sipper of my left shoe was not functional anymore within 6 of purchase but I was offered a solution. However, I live in the Caribbean so shipping cost is high. Even for something small as a new zipper I would have to pay the agency a fee or have to wait months for it to arrive (if it will arrive). Fyi, I spend about half the day behind a desk and half on the construction site. In conclusion, customer service is responsive. I would expect the shoes to hold up for at least a year without problems. It didn't make the year unfortunately. However, they are nice enough for me to have bought new ones.

Awesome boots just run rather small. It was recommended to size up a half size, I would say may be better to go a full size up. Other than that, the shoes are great. I have coworkers who try to step on my feet as these do not look like your standard steel toe boots/shoes.

Love these and the whole concept of a by-women-for-women steel toe, but unfortunately was disappointed at the fit. I get the tapered toe is super cute, but unfortunately that's not how my (or most?) feet are shaped! I tried both the 6 and 6.5, 6.5 was definitely roomier (would need to always wear with thick wool socks to prevent too much sliding around inside), but both pinched at the outer part of my toes even when trying on with thin socks. It was fairly subtle when trying on, but I knew I wouldn't be able to wear this for hours on end at job sites without getting blisters at my toes, and unfortunately the steel toe is the one part that can't stretch with use. I wish they included wide fits with the smaller sizes (though for reference I have never once needed wide width shoes), maybe I will try again if they are able to expand to include this. It does strike me as a little ironic to go to the "by women for women" brand just to run into exactly the same problem I had with the traditional brands - not enough options in my small size. Still love the mission though, and the ways it's likely contributed to women's steel toe offerings improving across the board compared to the last time I shopped for them a decade ago. Just not working for me in the current style and size options.

Though it ended up that I couldn't use these boots for work due to the steel toe (my company requires composite toe because of the high voltage we occasionally work around), I still wear them for everyday styles or to elevate a look. They're comfortable and light, but I kind of wish that they had an anti-fatigue sole for more comfort for long periods of standing. Regardless, a great purchase!

I forgot to add in the review I just submitted (I don't think I can edit it) that I originally bought a size 7 because of the half-size-up recommendation, but they were too large even with thicker socks. I exchanged them for my usual size of 6.5. The exchange was quick and simple and the 6.5 fit great.
