The great thing about these boots is that they are comfortable and stylish. However, after wearing them for 6 months the shoelace metal rings are starting to come off. It also says that they are waterproof which they definitely are NOT. This is kind of disappointing considering the price.

After taking a couple weeks to break in, these are my favorite pair of boots! I wear these almost every day. The zipper and lace combination take care of any ankle gap/rubbing problems that I have experiences with other Xena boots. I really hope that the zipper and lace combination will carry over to a version of the riding boots someday (hint hint). I love the riding boots, but had issues with other boots breaking in and forming to my feet without painful rubbing due to gaps.

I love that these boots are functional but also very stylish to wear. I originally ordered a 7.5 (I’m normally a 7) but it was a tad too big so I exchanged them for a 7. The exchange/return process was super easy and shipping only took a couple days. I feel like most shoes need time to break in but these were very comfortable from the get-go. I would definitely recommend to other women looking for steel toed boots!

I don't normally review products, but these safety boots are one of the best purchases I have ever made! I bought a pair of the safety boots with the steel toe for my wife and she absolutely loved the look and feel. The best part wasn't obvious until months later when she was nearly in an accident riding down the street. The boots did their job and then some! Some small scrapes on the leather toe were the only evidence that anything even happened. Thank you Xena for protecting my warrior princess!

First, these are legitimately cute and comfortable boots that wear in really well. Meaning, they get more comfortable the more you wear them. They are lightweight which is really important when you're on your feet for hours at a time. They are very, very cute. I've gotten a lot of compliments on these boots and I actively encouraged other people to buy them. Now, the negative: the color on the boots, whether that's the tan or the dye on the leather, wears away VERY quickly. I'm talking less than a week of light use. And because the leather underneath is much lighter in color it just ends up looking a little cheap and very worn even when the boots are new. I happen to enjoy leathercraft as a hobby so I added a bit of antiquing gel to the worn areas to blend it in and now it looks a little darker and worn and not as cheap. Better to me but not ideal. I've had other leather boots that didn't wear in this way and, I have to be honest, it's a dissatisfier. That said, overall, these are the best looking work boots I've owned and I think I'm likely to buy these again. Oh, the other reviews say buy up in size and that is true! I am usually an 8.5 wide and I got a 9 wide and they were a little snug but have opened up well with wear.

These boots have been a life saver! With a recent ankle injury I was needing shoes that had the support I needed and these boots were just that! They work perfect to be walking around all day, and due to traveling I was also in them for upward of 22 hours, I would definitely recommend!

These boots are comfortable and my heels don't hurt after walking so much (up to 20,000 steps each shift). Only down fall is that my outer toes hurt after a while. The toe box is too narrow. If they made this style with a wide toe box, it would be the best shoe I've ever owned.

Got a size 6 but I think a size 5-1/2 would have been better (though they don't seem to currently exist and size 5 is currently out of stock). A tad big and my feet slide to the front of the shoe when walking quickly, but most of the time when standing or sitting, they are totally fine. Material is soft and comfortable to drive in, stand in, and sit in for long periods of time.

Stepping into my power with my Xenas! These really impressed me! The steel toe is upholstered really well so you don't have a raw edge of the steel toe rubbing against you. The leather is really legit and tough as heck. Despite my nerves I listened to the size recommendation and got a whole size up and they're roomy but not too big to where I'm tripping. For all the female riggers out there - these are great for climbing steel. I still feel like I have a ton of grip on the beam, the structure of the boot with the little heel gives me structure and a platform to stand on so if you're standing on scaffolding or something your feet aren't crunching over the rails. Also it's just really nice putting on my shoes in the morning being reminded I am strong and beautiful. I love all the little touches that make you feel powerful as a woman in a predominantly male industry. Feels good. My overall FAVORITE part is that these shoes go from day to night, all over the world! I can get off work and go out with my friends and I don't have to worry about switching shoes because these are so fabulous they go with all my clothes. I've even gone hiking in these and they **** it out in the wilderness. They kept my feet dry even stepping in mud and they wipe clean. It's just really nice to only have to pack one pair of shoes when I fly out to places! TL;DR Fabulous shoes, definitely worth the price 100% Great for rigging, hiking, and all your other bad babe adventures!

I've heard from many of the women and some men in my company how uncomfortable steel toe boots can be. Xena has been on my radar for years. I finally purchased a pair and couldn't be happier! None of the men, bless them, believed me when I told them they were actually ASTM compliant. My boss immediately ordered her a pair. I did go up a half size. This initially made me nervous but it was the correct call. They boots are very comfortable and after wearing them for 10 hours a day I have no complaints.

I love the Spice Xenas and truly needed some time to “break” them in slowly…admittedly I did not so experienced some ankle rubbing below the bone where the heel cup support and fabric meet therefore…take your time and heed the break in advice, also, lace loosely so you do not get that angry burn…again my fault…. the boot is awesome!

Finally found the perfect brand of boots! I tried three different brands before finding Xena and I’ll tell you that compared to Sketchers Work, Wolverine and Brahma these are a game changer! Not only are they cute and comfortable but they give plenty of room to add insoles for all the support, just make sure to size up a half size like they recommend. I’m in these over 12 hours a day for days at a time and I’ll definitely order another pair soon, just so I have an ankle pair as well. Can’t wait to see what other styles Xena comes out with!

I work in the construction industry, but am not onsite overly frequently, so I ended up buying a cheap pair of steel toe boots just to have. It didn't take long for me to dread having to put them on (not only were they NOT cute whatsoever but they were also extremely uncomfortable). Long story short, I caved and ended up getting these after some time. I have worn them a few times now, and I am IN LOVE! They are crazy comfortable and so stylish. I would even wear them while not on a job site. If you're on the fence, get them!!

I unfortunately never had the chance to try out these boots in the field. They had great arch support but the steel toe rubbed on my pinky toe, even a half size up. There was already too much extra fabric material and space to go wide. I don’t think the fabric for this boot also would have held up to walking job sites. I’m bummed, I wanted to get several of their styles.

Loved them, the stile and somehow the fit, now that I've been wearing daily the steel toe side hurt when I walk, I have tried with different fabric and thickness socks, and still hurts. :( Ouch! Trying not to walk, but in this industry you have to. Hoping by use will stop hurting.

I’ve been wanting to purchase these boots for over a year. I had high hopes that work boots designed specifically for women would be fitted better than other brands I have tried. That being said, they are much lighter than my other safety boots. They actually fit my narrow foot. Additionally, they look gorgeous. The left boot is fairly comfortable. I wish it had a little more cushioning in the insole, but that is all. A solid 4.5z if the right boot felt the same, I would be very happy. Unfortunately, the right boot has a ridge inside the boot where the toe cap seam is and it constantly rubs the outside of my toes. It is incredibly painful, especially at the end of a workday. Unfortunately, I had these boots brought overseas immediately and have no way to return them.

I bought these boots a two years ago when I was still a student and working at a restaurant. I took a lot of reviewers advice to size up by a half (bought an 8.5) and there was something of a break-in period, but they softened up nicely and are now super comfortable, albeit with fairly thick socks to protect from blisters. The non-slip sole was NOT non-slip enough for the restaurant floors, but now that I'm in R&D for food production, they are perfect for when I visit the plant floor, and I don't have to take them off in the office-I have gotten so many compliments and people asking if they really are steel toe because they're so stylish! With the proper care, these boots should last me for many more years to come. Looking to add more of the Xena collection to my closet soon!
