Favorite steel toes ever! I was a little concerned when I first unboxed and tried them on. Left for sure fit tighter than right boot (and I had never had issues with different size feet for other shoes). Broke them in, wearing inside only for 3 days and they fit great!

They are very beautiful and stylish. When I first received them, I was in love. Then I got a new job that requires me to wear them more often and for a longer periods of time. It was then that I notice how very uncomfortable they actually are. These boots are great for short term use, but if you have to wear them for prolonged periods of time, they do not have enough support, and your feet will hurt.

Love the look and feel of these boots. I've had them for about six months. The design is excellent. The only downside is that I wish the sole was firmer. I'm on a ladder most of the day and need a firm sole. This bends a bit too much and my feet feel it. Other than that, koodos for creating a product that doesn't make my feet look like Frankenstein!

I generally work in an office setting but our production floor requires us to wear safety shoes so I got these since I liked that they were also stylish enough for office wear. Love that it has a zipper which makes it easy to put on and take off, that it's not as clunky or bulky as traditional safety shoes, and that it's well made and I can get them resoled in the future rather than having to continually buy and trash safety shoes when they wear out. Hate that like all other safety shoes I've had, these have nonexistent arch support. Hopefully Xena either improves the arch support in these shoes in the future or starts selling insoles for these shoes.

First off, I wish I could give these 3.5 stars. These are so cute I have to reassure people they are safety boots and I love the lace up look with the ease of zippers. The fit is great with the 1/2 size up as recommended but I have narrow feet and I can see the toebox being tight on someone with wider feet, just FYI. They're not uncomfortable but I'm on my feet 10-12 hours a day and for that I definitely need insoles as the support is a little lacking (especially for the price).

The Spice Safety Boots are as lightweight as the reviews said! They are steel toe but not composite, so they still set off metal detectors. They are so beautiful and sleek. I can't wait to wear them out to a concert when the weather cools down.

I work in an office and typically have no need for utility boots. I'm about to go on a volunteer trip to an elephant sanctuary and wanted to get boots I could wear there that wouldn't be useless to me otherwise. I love these boots SO MUCH! I wear them to my office all the time and everyone thinks they're regular, beautiful boots. They were so comfortable right out of the box and I never say that! I hate shoes, I have very boney, narrow feet with high arches. All shoes hurt me, not these! I can wear these all day long and my feet stay happy. I'm so happy with these boots, love this company! TLDR: If you have thicker calves, I would advise against this. Although I wanted to love these, i couldnt. The fit of the sole was perfect (ordered 1/2 higher than my normal shoe size). However, I was not a fan with how it felt on my calves. I have thick calves which is probably why. My coworker also has these and it fits amazing on her. When i was test wearing these around the house, i could feel the calve portion bunch down, which made the whole look weird.

This is my second pair of Xenas. They took a good 2 days to break in, and I was worried they were uncomfortable but by day 3, they were WONDERFUL. I have struggled with plantar fasciitis in the past and I love these boots. They’re easy to put on and take off with the zipper side and they are great for all day wear and multiple miles of walking every day throughout the production plant.

Very cute! Most of the people at work don't think they're steel toes; my boss stepped on them to make sure and another person told me "you can't be wearing Doc Martens in here". I'm glad I sized up as recommended, the 10.5 fits perfectly. They're pretty comfortable, I didn't feel like they needed even the recommended three days of break in time, but after about a month I feel like they could use some more cushioned insoles because I'm on my feet 12+ hours a day and the sole starts feeling pretty "hard" after a while, if that makes sense. All in all, I think they're pretty good.

I want to start this review with the caveat that I am not quite Xena’s target demographic. I work in public affairs for a wildlife conservation organization, and I spend most of my days in an office, not on a production floor. However, I was looking for a boot that was both appropriate for me to wear in front of government officials AND in the field with scientists. And after several nights in the Panamanian rainforest hiking in 3 different types of boots, I can safely say that Xena passes the test for me. For context, as I am writing this I just finished an 11-hour day in my Xena boots in a mix of settings: standing on concrete floors for hours at a time, and walking several miles across a mix of asphalt, grassy fields and (unintentionally) in a muddy rainforest. My feet stayed dry despite stepping in some deep mud banks tonight and I didn’t slip once despite the muck. Bumping into rocks in the dark? No problem thanks to steel caps. Plus I was able to rest a little bit easier knowing my feet were protected by steel caps and durable leather given that we were walking in viper territory. Safe to say, I am very happy with my Xena boots. I’ve even gotten a few compliments on them, both from men and women! Full disclosure, the Xena boots I bought (the Spice Safety Boots in mystic dune) are not waterproof, but I waxed them with Otter Wax’s boot wax to protect them. The boots handled the wax totally fine, with no discoloration. I ordered up a half size as recommended and they fit appropriately. The only thing I noticed is on the first day of me wearing them, the top of the toe cap got some kind of scratch which marred the beautiful color. That said, I then proceeded to get them covered in mud so I can’t really complain. —— It is now a week post-jungle and I broke out my Xenas for public-facing media events with foreign officials in the rain this past weekend. Boots were perfect for that too, given the difference in dress code. I can’t recommend them enough!

Have been wearing these almost every day for a little over a month and can confirm they have been awesome! I use orthopedic inserts so I opted for the wide sizing and these boots have been so comfortable to wear. They took about two weeks to break in. I feel so confident wearing them out as well and love telling people that they’re steel toes- they don’t believe it! Would def recommend sizing up, Im a 9.5 but went up a size to be safe and they’re perfect.

I purchased the Spice Safety Boot a few months back based on the great reviews and the awesome style. I have only worn the boots a few times because I have to walk about 30 minutes there and back once a week. However, they are severely hurting the bottom of my foot and rubbing against my pinky toes. I’ve tried to remedy the problem by buying insoles and pinky covers but my foot is still in extreme pain from the constant rubbing. I don't know what the company offers to remedy the situation, but I would advise against buying this style. They are very stylish, but not worth the outcomes it has on your feet.

I ordered these boots like a few months ago and they say order a size up (I wear 8.5 so I order a 9). So I do and then they(size 9) are too narrow so I order them wide(9wide)... But you should get your size just in wide. So I should of got a (8.5 wide) . But I really needed them so I just wore them.. I only wore them once to work.. And I am a welder/fabricator so I work at least 10 hours standing/working/welding. These boots are not comfortable for long hours. Do not buy if you work long and hard. Not for heavy duty jobs. Sorry but this was my experience.

Fit - pretty good. I ordered up 1 size as recommended. I do not have a wide foot so I had to wear extra thick socks even with the added arch support insole. Like that they zip up! Also like that they aren't as heavy as most steel toe boots. My legs and back were happy. Durability - only wore once and the toe already has scuff marks like I've been in the field for weeks. For mining which is generally working in dirt, mud, snow, a field, etc it would be nice to have real tread on the bottom.

I LOVE these boots. I NEVER recommend products, but I posted to Facebook about how great these were and tagged my construction industry and NAWIC cohorts. These are so comfortable that I accidentally wore then home… twice, leaving 2 pairs of sneakers under my desk! And they are stylish- they look so much like my Johnston & Murphy’s I could easily confuse them. I should have splurged on these boots when they first came out. I’ve been in the industry 35 years and made do with men’s boots most of that time. When I dress up I normally wear riding boots- I may be splurging on a second pair of Xena’s soon!

These shoes are super cute and SO. COMFY. I ordered half a size up, which allows for cushy socks.
