This is my third pair of Xena safety shoes, and I love them! The Valence SD safety boots are so beautiful but also meet the high standard of safety demanded by my site. I am generally between sizes, and I went with the larger size and it fits well. My other Xena shoes all held up well, so I look forward to enjoying them for a long time!

The boots are so cute! I’m typically between a 8 and an 8.5. I ordered my boots in 8.5 wide and they fit perfectly, and are actually really comfy straight out of the box! Also, the packaging was so nice and thoughtful. Love!

These boots look nice but I was unable to get them to pass on any tester in my office at the stated SD35 rating. The best I could get was one shoe passing at SD100. They were also quite uncomfortable but may have broken in. Unfortunately I had to return them as I do need shoes that meet that specification.

These boots are AMAZING! I bought half a size up, which I will probably appreciate but don't think it was 100% necessary. They are very solid and well made - as they are cute...can't beat it. The only reason i'm not rating a 5 star is because it took a few weeks of wear for them to break in. With every step I could feel the steel toes's edge hit the middle of my foot which was not painful just a little aggravating. Happy to say that no longer happens and I will be buying a second pair! Thank you for supporting women in the trades <3

The shoes look great!! I saw reviews saying to size up. I also saw some reviews saying they were true to fit. So I sized up a half size and they are still really tight. Worn them for two days hoping to break them in and they are so uncomfortable. They feel tight on the top of my feet which Ive never experienced before. Definitely size up a full size or more.

I absolutely love these boots! They are incredibly functional, cute, and comfortable. These were true to size— I usually wear an 8 and ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly. These are cute and comfortable enough that I have started wearing them outside of work too. In fact, I brought them with me on a rainy trip to Italy and walked for hours in them on cobblestone streets. My feet were comfortable and dry and the slip resistance was a life saver on the wet stone. Would absolutely buy again!

I love these so much more than I thought I would. I had to get SD certified steel toes for my job and these are MUCH more lighweight than my previous steel toes, so I don't feel exhausted after lugging them around all day. I sized up 1/2 a size to be safe but I don't think I needed to. Very comfortable and cute!

These are great quality and super comfy! I have problems with my feet, so shoes (let alone safety boots) are always tricky. These are comfortable right out of the box, look stylish and professional, and fit very well. I wear a 10 in most sneakers (Brooks, Asics, etc) and the 10 fit me perfect. I absolutely love these boots! I’ve recently started planning and executing larger woodworking projects, which require multiple hours in the shop. Standing on concrete floors was starting to wear on my body. I found Xenas after some research and took the plunge on the Valence work boot in Chestnut brown- and I am so happy I did! I absolutely love these shoes. I normally wear an 8.5 in sneakers - but had to size down to a size 8 in these because my heel was slipping. The exchange process was super easy and customer service was awesome. The boots themselves are super comfortable - break-in was minimal. I could tell after the fist long day that I wore them that they really helped to redistribute my weight more evenly. My feet feel so much less fatigued in these compared to any other shoe I have tried. I also love that they have a steel toe, and look stylish. I wouldn’t hesitate to wear these shoes going to or from the shop- they’re so versatile and beautiful. Overall - a really high-quality item that really made a difference for my feet. I’d highly recommend these and I will absolutely be buying from the folks at Xena again! Thank you!

Hello! I was excited about getting my Xena boots since the first time I saw an ad; I did some research and finally decided to get them. The design is nice, it doesn’t look bulky and I feel it looks kind of “elevated”, I work in a food manufacturing company, but also have a lot contact with auditors, regulatory agencies and corporate, so I was aiming to nice (and comfortable). To be honest, I thought they would be more comfy, the boots are good enough, and they are definitely more comfortable than my previous safety shoes (that were kind of “sporty”), so overall I’m happy with them since I don’t end the day with sore feet.

Was looking for chelsea boots that looked sleek and professional but felt comfortable and could withstand some wear. A lot of the more comfortable boots I've tried and worn in the past look kind of rounded and clownish, and the more professional ones are inevitable too narrow. These boots somehow look more shapely but give my somewhat wide feet a good amount of room. It feels roomy in the toebox but looks, from the outside, like it tapers really elegantly. Also, this dark chestnut brown color is gorgeous and really versatile. It's a deep, neutral brown, not too warm or orangey. The leather feels like good quality, substantial but not too stiff (like some of my doc martens, which refuse to break in even after a couple of years). It also has some arch support, with a shaped, cushioned insole that feels really nice. I intend to come back here after a year or so to report back on how it wears and update my review, but for now, it feels comfortable and sturdy, and looks elegant and beautiful.
