Really want to love the shoes but they just aren't comfortable. I originally ordered 9.5 (1/2 size up) and wide width, exchanged for 9W (very easy exchange process). Problem is that the safety toe cap is rubbing the skin off of my toes even with thick socks.

The look of the boot is very nice, it feels comfortable and weighs less than my traditional steel toe boots. Ordered up and the fit is adequate. Can't vouch for the quality of the material yet, they scrapped up more than expected after the first wear so i'll have to hold my review on that until further on.

I havent had a chance to really wear these in yet but right out of the box they are super comfortable. I had to size up to an 11 as a usual 10 wearer, which I've noticed I've had to do in a couple other online shoe purchases. No big deal, the exchange was super quick and easy. Xena even honored a Labor Day Sale I missed preemptively by a day and refunded me the difference! Thanks so much!

The boot is cute but the MOST painful shoe I’ve ever experienced. I hate that I had to wear them in the plant to see how I never wanted them to grace my feet again and now I’m stuck with a $200 shoe. There is no cushion between the top of the shoe and the steel cap. Big and pinky toe hitting against straight metal all day. Wouldn’t recommend.

I love love love these shoes, currently have two pair of the SD models and one pair of the more dressy heeled shoes and I’m looking to purchase the riding boot style next year. When they recommend you order half size up, follow that recommendation that is true, and if you do that, you’ll be able to wear them right out of the box with no pain or break in period.

I bought the Valence SD Safety Boot in Wide sizing. Even though this is "wide," I do get some rubbing between my outside toes and the outside walls of the boot. It would be nice if the toe box was not so tapered. I'm still wearing them at work, and they are comfortable enough, but I do wish the Wide sizing was actually *wide* across the whole shoe, including the toe box. Alternatively, Xena might consider making an "extra wide" shoe? Overall I am satisfied with this pair and will keep them until they wear out, but I will look for different shoes after that.

One note* I did have to order a few times to find the right style and fit. I also had to order a whole size up- not a half size like recommended. I love these boots! I previously had the Omega boots (size 11, a bit big), but the zipper broke, so I had to get new boots. I also had the Inertia boots (size 10, a bit small), but they were uncomfortable to walk in for long periods. I do fire safety in construction zones and must have steel-toe boots. These boots are super comfy, stylish, and easy to slip on and off. I also wear these boots at events since they look so nice. I got the 10-wide size, I was a bit worried, but the size is perfect. I highly recommend it.

I typically wear a size 6 and have relatively narrow feet, but even after sizing up to a 6.5, they still feel tight, particularly around the pinky toe. A wider toe box would significantly enhance their comfort and make them more accommodating for a broader range of foot shapes without compromising style.

Wore them on a job site all day. Once done, I was not dying to take them off, as I usually am with my old boots. They were still comfortable enough to wear for the 5 hour ride home after the site walk. A first ever. They hug my feet, so I do not need to adjust them all day. They are lighter than my previous work boot. This meant I was not as tired after walking the site all day. Even wore them to the office as normal day shoe. Glad I am able to use them more than just for site. So far, very happy with them.

I have been wearing these everyday at work for months now. Love them because they go with all my straight leg or wide leg jeans, look professional when I am in meetings, but I can also work my ESD/steel toe required departments in them comfortably. These always pass my factory's ESD test (with grounding straps applied). I bought a size 8 (which I wear in brands like converse/vans) and they were roomy so I don't advise sizing up.

These boots are super supportive and were comfortable right about of the box. I have spent the last few days breaking them in, and the only discomfort I've noticed is around my pinky toe area on my right foot, where the regular inside of the boot meets what I assume is the steel toe, but I'm hopeful that either with an adjustment in sock thickness or further breaking in that it will feel better! I have flat feet and do a lot of walking back and forth administrative areas and kennel areas of the animal shelters, and so far these were a great purchase!

Hi Xena team! I bought a Valence SD Safety Boot back in september last year, it took around 9 days to arrive to México where I live. The boots are awesome but unfortunatelly didn’t fit me, I ordered them in 6 because the 1/2 size up recommendation :( I used them once to give them a try but no.. they feel heavier because of the size, I will try to sell them in order to buy a size down pair. I will lose money anyway because even I got them with discount, the shipping and other charges here were around 80 usd.. See you!

This is a wonderful boot, so beautiful and well made. And comfy. I love the little arch support. The only negative is the sizing and that you have to pick a much larger size than usual and even the difference between a half size (too small) and next larger size (too big) means that I have a little more wiggle room. I will have to look for some insert for the heel to make it a little more snug.

Sizes seem to run very small. I’m usually an 8. Read reviews so I ordered 81/2, they are still too small. That never happens w any brand of shoe I have ever purchased. Very narrow fit. They squeeze my feet at the top. Be careful if you have wide feet these will be hard to squeeze into. Even the opening of the boot is super small. The look is beautiful. I love the steel toe addition. But again really narrow. Which makes me a little sad. I was so excited to finally splurge on a great work shoe, but it’s just not working out the way I’d hoped. I feel like one of the Evil stepsisters form Cinderella trying to squeeze into what is supposed to be my size!
