I am a farrier, my boots work hard! I expected these to last a year, was bummed when they didn't. I really liked the wide toe box, but I can't keep buying them every six months. Also weren't really waterproof. Really want to support a woman owned business, hoping you can make improvements. PS I'd be willing to pay allot more if they were made in the USA instead of Mexico 😉

These are my second pair of shoes. I bought these because the toe box is a lot bigger than some of the other styles. I recommend sizing up at least half a size. I wear a size 10 normally but I bought the size 11. I love them, they're so comfy and the high ankle is great for keeping debris out of my shoes. Very happy with them, thank you!

I love Xena boots. This is my first pair of the Horizon boots, and I won't lie - I had my hesitations. Not because of the quality of shoe Xena puts out, because I had owned other shoes from them and I LOVE them; but because I didn't think there was a way to make work boots functional, comfortable and still bring a level of femininity to them. These absolutely encompass all 3 though. They're incredibly durable, feel so light and actually look like they're made for women. Working in a construction based industry, I feel like women end up having to sacrifice a lot of the feminine aspects of themselves, and it is the soap box I will DIE on that women should not have to give up who they are in order to work in this field.

I was very excited to get these because before these I had been ordering shoes for work from Amazon. I expected these to be comfy and to fit even wide feet as stated that they run large and will fit regular and wide feet. I used them for the first time last night for my 12 hr shift that I usually spend on my feet walking. About 30 mins in I was starting to notice pain at the top of my foot right where the steel toe starts. Thankfully my boss saw me limping and asked if I wanted to be put somewhere I can just sit down. I wanted to like these but they wouldn’t even let me do my job. I can’t imagine how my feet would feel if I had to be on them the full 12 hours with the Xena work boots

I work in a kitchen, that constantly has wet/oily floors, so I can say that the slip resistant soles are great. The boots also feel very sturdy and offer great support for my ankles and arches, but they could definitely use some padding inside. After walking for 8 hours non stop in a fast paced kitchen, Im dying to take them off at the end of the night and the feeling hasn't changed after 1 week of wearing them. So I'm buying padding to add to the inside to protect my toes and heels, but it would be better if the boots just came properly padded from the factory. Work well and hopefully will be more comfortable after I add the padding myself, but don't think I would buy them again knowing I have to do all of this myself.

I’m a barefoot-style shoe wearer, but needed a tough work boot for the outdoor chores in wet mud, snow & ice. Out of the box these were comfortable, fit well, and had plenty of toe box space. It’s still summer, but I expect these to do fine in snow as well. A little mink oil and they are standing up well in the wet.

And boy do they deliver on the comfort levels as well as being able to handle everything work throws at me. I love these boots! It is so difficult to find women's shoes for my size of 13 (maybe a 12W for foot). I was so happy to see that 13 was finally coming to Xena and am so happy I found a fit that works with my foot size! The shoes are so comfy, especially for the wide, larger feet.

I appreciate the light weight of these boots. They did take a bit of time to break-in. I NEED safe shoes for work but I still WANT to feel cute! Size: I am a size 6.5 shoe but I get 7.5 in both running shoes & work boots. I like to have room for wool socks. I got the 7.5 in these but probably would have been just as happy with the 7.

I have ordered these boots twice now. The first pair lasted me 11 months before cracking at the sides allowing water to seep in. This is pretty standard for me and I loved my first pair. I got my second pair in March of this year and by July there was a small opening on the top of my right boot. A couple of months later and the opening is a few inches wide. It is a bummer that for nearly $200 these boots did not last even six months. Also any time I have ever gotten these boots wet, they dye the tops of my feet black. I work in a brewery so this is nearly an every day occurrence. I have to SCRUB aggressively to remove it all.

I love these boots. They allow me to safely stand on warehouse concrete multiple work days in a row without even a little bit of foot or back pain. They are also somehow cute... must be the shape?? I love that the toebox is wide for comfort. I would absolutely purchase again if necessary, but something tells me these will last me a long time.

I LOVE the look of these boots and how resistant they are. That being said it did take forever to break them in, but after suffering through some pretty bad blisters I am happy with them now. They are very comfortable and pretty warm. My only real complaint is that they are not waterproof. They are definitely water resistant but after spending 3 hours in a wet field and maybe 2 inches of water I cannot say waterproof. Maybe this is my mistake in interpretation but oh well. Overall 9.5/10 recommend.

I’m very happy with the Horizon safety boot. I purchased the black pair with red stitching and laces, and they’ve been extremely comfortable on construction sites. I conduct erosion and sediment control inspections over rough terrain, and these boots continue to impress me. I’m tall with a long, narrow foot, and it’s always been difficult to find women’s work boots in a size 13, so I was thrilled when I saw that Xena Workwear offered them. Keep up the great work, and thank you for producing quality workwear for women!

I got these as a christmas present because I have heard all the great reviews. Unfortunately for me, even though the size is right, after just wearing them for 4 hrs they rubbed my heels raw and my feet were so achy. I tried to break them in at home first for a couple days and thought they were ready for me to wear them for work. I work outdoors chainsawing. Thank goodness I wore them just for the afternoon because I don’t think I would have made it a whole day, I could barely walk by the end. Any recommendations?

I knew that after all that I needed to research and find a good work boot for future gigs. I don’t know how I stumbled on Xena but I’m so glad I did. These boots are amazing. I go into some very questionable places as a death investigator in NYC— but I feel so much safer wearing these. Hoarder apartment with rusty nails? No problem. Crack pipes on the floor? Easy. Roach infested house? Gross, but I have no fear those guys will get into my boots. They were so comfy right away, didn’t need to break them in. I am considering buying a pair just for personal use (sadly once I wore these to work they are forever tainted with various gross things I step in while on scenes and shall never come home with me). 10/10.
