I’ve waited almost a full year to get the full experience to write the review. I work outside, walk a minimum of 5 miles per day, in rain or shine or snow. I had an issue with the zipper and they sent me a replacement right away, and were so kind and helpful. My company pays for my safety shoes up to a certain amount, so while the price would definitely be a concern for me if out of my own pocket, my company covered all of it, so it’s not a concern. I work at a chemical waste site and am frequently getting who knows what spilled on the ground around me, and this does a really good job of keeping that icky stuff away from my feet. They’re pretty scuffed up and discolored a year in. I should have ordered waterproof boots, because once there is too much rain/ snow on the ground, it steeps through the shoes pretty quickly and i need to switch to my rubber steel toe muck boots. Overall, i’m really happy with these shoes, nobody can believe they’re safety shoes they’re so stylish! I’ll be ordering a pair of waterproof boots once I get my PPE allowance again!

I am so disappointed you need an extra wide with or something. these are so cute and comfortable but I've had 3 different sizes in wide and every single pair either pinches my toes in or the safety plate is rubbing on the front of my little toe. I was so excited to find women's work boots but i guess i still have to keep looking for something else.

These boots are great! Usually by the end of load in I'm desperate to take my boots off, and even change shoes just for lunch breaks. These are so comfortable that yesterday I looked down a few hours after I left load in, and was surprised to see that I hadn't changed shoes! They feel safe but not so heavy they're hard to climb in, and my ankles feel supported without feeling constricted.

I absolutely love these boots! I am never one to leave reviews, however, when having to wear boots all day while standing on concreate. My feet have never been so comfortable. I normally wear an 8, so I bought an 8.5. I still have some wiggle room but I cant wait to get my next pair. 100% worth the money!

I loved them when I took them out of the box, putting them on was very smooth but pinky toes hit against the edge of the steel toe cap and my foot slides around. I have not “worn” them yet. I’ve just tried them on a hand full of times, trying to convince myself they fit. I couldn’t return them since the box was accidentally thrown out. I was excited to see how they held up to the work we perform in our blast/paint area and loads of walking I do in a day.

I love these boots! My only complaint is that they have more of a pointed toe. So even with wide they still push your toes together, which is pretty normal with woman’s boots. But its bad for your feet over time if your toes are always pushed together. Fit perfectly otherwise!

Love the idea, but have been unable to find a good fit, even after working with the lovely Xena customer support staff. I'm a size 10B sneaker, but none of the sizes 10B, 10W, 10.5B, and 10.5W fit. Either the length and width were good but the toebox was too small or the toebox fit and everything else was too big. Sadly, these boots simply don't fit me. (Maybe Xena should look into the steel toecap sizing? It seems small) They're also much more clunky than they appear in the photos and do not bend at the mid-foot or the toes due to the Internal Metatarsal Guard and steel toe.

I absolutely love these boots! I am a diyer, but I love looking cute still so this is a big thing and I definitely want to buy more. The only thing I disliked about the shoes is that I have slipped in them on a tiny bit of water. I caught myself so I didn't fall but I definitely was doing the splits and trying to not to fall down on my face. I thought it was because they were new but I've now had them for a while, wear them everywhere and they still will make me very cautious when I am near wet surfaces. However don't let that stop you from buying it. I've had heavy things fall on my shoes, no damage, I've been able to be in them all day to the point that I don't really take them off. They are worth it and I love them.

Working in a manufacturing process, the “typical” dress code is a polo, khakis, and slip/oil resistant shoes (that let’s be honest are not cute- actually the entire ‘typical’ outfit is not cute). So finding these shoes that are not only cute and comfortable, but also COMPLIANT to our safety standards. The Xenia shoe presence here at our facility has grown amongst our women that work here. There is something to be said about feeling confident in your job and it’s the little things like the feminine yet safety factor that these shoes provide really make you feel good about working in manufacturing. I always joked in our women in manufacturing groups that if I didn’t do what I did I would be making safety shoes for women because there is such a gap. I appreciate this business so much. Overall, shoes do need to be broken in (just like any other good shoe) and take the recommendation to size up either a half or full size.

I love these boots and I'm so thankful I have them. They are the perfect boot for traveling to all types of customers and vendors. They're so convenient because they're dressy enough to wear to meetings, seminars and post-event dinners, but strong enough to wear into all types of shops, mills, factories, etc. With these boots being metatarsals, I can be confident I'll meet the spec of any facility I travel to. I was worried about them not being EH, but from talking with other individuals in my field, that's not often a safety spec I am required to meet. I went up a half a size compared to the larger end of my range, and the boots fit great! I was concerned when I first got them that I should have sized them bigger or wider, given that I felt the metal on top of my foot a little bit, but after talking with the fantastic Xena Support, I decided to wear them around the house for more time. As I wore them more, the footbed sunk a little, which made them even more comfortable in general, but also I no longer felt that the top of my foot was touching the top of the shoe. So my advice is-actually wear them around your house a good amount before panicking! These shoes are fantastic and I am so happy they are my everything-shoe for work! I always feel confident, comfortable and prepared with these boots!

I absolutely love these boots! My company requires met guard steel toes for all shop work. Most steel toes are heavy and clunky which looked out of place with my business casual dress code. These boots go great with my daily look yet keep my feet safe while in the shop. They are light weight, feel like walking on cushions of clouds and are super stylish. Great boots; sturdy, waterproof, scuff resistant, and really awesome for field work. I wear them in airports, on-site, and in general for work and they’re super comfy to wear for extended time periods. Roughly my boots get about 5miles of walking a day and while they are heavier than regular shoes they aren’t uncomfortable to wear for long time periods. Additionally, the leather feels like it molds to you which means they get more comfortable the more you wear them. Another plus is that these boots don’t look like work boots; no one I asked had a clue till I told them that I was wearing work boots. Which means they look like regular boots and cute to wear with jeans/leggings and some skirts/dresses. I wouldn’t recommend these for dress pants; there’s another pair Xena sells that are shorter that would be better so if you want this for dress pants I don’t think this would work well. But for daily work or field engineering this is a wonderful shoe.

I absolutely love these shoes. They do fit much tighter in the toes, even with a wide size, than any shoe I've had before. I would love if it was a little less cramped there, but otherwise they are sturdy, withstand heavy material falling on them, shine well with mink oil, and are cuter than any work shoe I've had before.

I received my pair a couple of weeks ago - went for the full wardrobe and ordered Gravitys, Fusions & Novas so I could completely swap out all my current office shoes for the Xenas. Absolutely no regrets, I cannot get over how comfortable these all are - and are a MAJOR improvement on the shoes I had previously! I ordered a wide foot and ended up going a full size up on the shoes and 1.5 sizes up on the Novas (for big winter socks) . I do notice my pinky toe touching the steel cap ridge on the inside but have not found it an issue yet. NZ-made shoes seem to be huge by comparison , so any other Kiwis reading this , take note!!! (Doc Martens by comparison, sz US 8/EUR39, about an extra inch of room, sloppy fit, compared with Xena 8.5 , EUR39, snug fit, 5mm room. These shoes seem to be made out of much thicker material than the average shoe but this gives it a reinforced & sturdy feel) This was a day dream fantasy for me about 5 years ago to have NICE stylish steel caps rather than the clunky men's shoes we normally get for work. I love the look of these shoes, and I’m still breaking them in which is probably why they’re a slightly uncomfortable. They are very slippery on the oil glossed floor in production, I felt I was walking on ice. Everywhere else I had great grip, but definitely see performance issues on the oil.

Standard work boot size 9 Ordered these in 9.5 wide and they are perfect! I did add an insole as I wear them for such long periods of time…one day I was in them for no joke, 22hours. After walking roughly a million square ft facility, I had to go through 3 airports and get to the hotel…then did it all again the next day; only one airport this time. I am not usually a wide, but I am so glad I ordered these wide.

The overall appearance of the Fusion Mt Safety Boot is a sleek nice look. These boots don’t seem to be rugged. I say they are more of an engineer style. As for the fit, I’m experiencing some uncomfortableness because I can feel the guards in the inside as well as my heel getting caught up on the reinforcement at the back when I slid the boot on. Hopefully this gets better because they are still fairly new and aren’t broke in yet. Next time will definitely opt for a different color or material as they stand out of place in my industry and the black glossy finish is in contrast to the dusty environment I work in and makes them look like dirty dusty dress shoes.

I’m in the office a lot of times but occasionally go to naval shipyards and do a lot of walking and these shoes are perfect for that. Also listen when they say to size up a half size. I get asked all the time if my boots are “real” work boots. It’s so funny because it’s gotten to the point where I have to let them know my husband (who is also needs this type) picked them out. I get told they look like regular boots so often that I keep my web receipt handy. We need the steel toe as well as the metatarsal guard and they just can’t believe how cute and “normal” looking they are. My next response is usually, “I bet they cost a lot of money.”. While they are a little more, they are worth every penny. They are COMFORTABLE! I can honestly say that I will definitely be looking to Xena when these need to be replaced. I am also happy to support a small business.
