BattleBots Valkyrie And Xena Workwear
We are proud to sponsor one of the only female-led BattleBots teams that will be competing for the 5th straight season in the ultimate robot fighting tournament. Team Valkyrie looks to win the BattleBots World Championship VII, that airs every Thursday on Discovery and is streamed globally. Their first fight is on January 12 against team Mammoth.
Valkyrie is led by team captain Lucy Du, an engineering MIT graduate and a Biomechatronics PhD candidate. She is excited to compete on BatteBots and to advocate for diversity in STEM by hosting events, workshops, and panels that encourage young girls to explore nontraditional careers.
Valkyrie is a sleek, adaptable machine awarded 2020’s Most Destructive Robot. Its low-slung, undercutting weapon blade is one of the heaviest hitters in the competition. Designed by a team of Massachusetts based engineers, Valkyrie is an established and fearsome competitor.
Our team is inspired by Lucy's mission and can't wait to see her formidable robot in the arena. We outfitted the badass ladies of team Valkyrie in latest Xena armor that includes our Valence SD and the Spice Safety Boots.
