It is REALLY important to note that depending on where you live, there may be import taxes / duties which are accessed upon delivery. This is in addition to the shipping cost that is paid at checkout and will be collected by the carrier companies (UPS, DHL, etc.) directly.

• All of our safety shoe models are ASTM F2413-24 Certified, which covers past year certifications, including F2413-18, F2413-17, F2413-11, F2413-05.

ASTM International (formerly American Society for Testing and Materials) establishes and independently tests the safety standards of PPE that OSHA relies on to set an objective level of PPE quality and safety. All of our safety footwear complies with OSHA standards by passing the requisite ASTM safety tests

• All Xenas have protective toe caps that passed I75 / C75 impact & compression standards

• All Xenas models feature Oil & Chemical resistant outsoles that have been tested for slip resistance and are either SR or SRO certified

• Our Astra, Rogue, and Luna models offer the the most slip resistance (SRO Rated) so are recommended for oily environments

• Our Omega, Spice, Horizon, Fusion, Rogue, Luna, Nova, and Astra (Black EH) models offer Electrical Hazard Protection (EH Rated)

• Our Fusion Mt model has a Metatarsal Impact Resistance Certification (ASTM Mt 75)

• Our Valence and Astra (White Gold SD) models have Static Dissipative Certification (SD 35)

• Our Horizon, Astra, and Luna models are Puncture Resistant (PR Rated)

The short answer is "yes." ANSI Z41 is a retired safety standard that is very rarely referenced anymore but in case your employer still refers to it in their PPE policies, you should be all set. ANSI Z41 was superseded by ASTM F2413 so our shoes are compliant and if you would like to read more about this standard change, please reference this article from ASTM which has additional information.

ASTM F2412 refers to "standard test methods for foot protection" and it outlines how a professional laboratory needs to test their shoes. All of our shoes are certified at an accredited laboratory using F2412 methods. Safety shoes that pass these tests get a F2413 certification - which our shoes comply with!

All of our beautiful ASTM Certified safety shoes are slip-resisting for dry and wet conditions (SR rated) with our Rogue, Luna, and Astra models being rated for oily environments (SRO rated).

For food services in particular, results may vary depending on the condition of the floors. If you work in oily environments, we strongly recommend doing a light test-run before wearing your Xenas for a full shift (bring a spare pair of shoes just in case).

YES - but technically this only applies to our beautiful Luna Athletic.

All of our other models are highly Water Resistant. The styles that feature premium zipper closures do not allow them to be completely waterproof, but in most conditions where the water stays below the zipper-line, they will keep your feet nice and dry. With all of our leather boots we highly recommend that you treat them with a waterproof spray or oil to protect the leather and keep it looking amazing!

Full-Grain leather is not 100% waterproof, but it does offer water resistance so mild exposure to water shouldn't cause harm. To promote the longevity of your beautiful shoes we recommend to coat them with a waterproofer such as Mink Oil, which will protect the leather from water exposure. Full-Grain Leather can be found on the Gravity, Omega, Spice, Nova, Valence, and Fusion models.

Vegan Leather is waterproof. It is made from high-performance, waterproof vegan leather. Vegan Leather can be found on the Omega EH Vegan Brown and Valence SD Vegan Onyx.

Suede Leather is waterproof and those boots are water repellent. Consider applying a stain repellent to prolong the beautiful looks of your suede Xenas.

Our Horizon, Luna and Astra are all Puncture Resistant (PR Rated).

For our other Xena models, women reported success purchasing an after-market PR-certified insole* and inserting it into our boots to meet PR requirements!

*If you go with an after-market insole, then we definitely recommend to size up by 1/2 to a full size from what you normally wear

Yes! We developed our stunning Fusion Mt Safety Boot that has the official ASTM Metatarsal Impact Resistance Certification (Mt 75).

Yes! We use high-performance vegan leather to make the following styles: Omega EH Vegan Brown and Valence SD Vegan Onyx.

Our Vegan leather is made of a super fine type of synthetic fiber called “microfiber" which is composed of nylon and polyester. With a diameter of 10 microns, the threads are ten times finer than human hair, but only half as thick as silk, making our vegan leather both water-repellent and breathable. Microscopically, it reproduces the characteristics of natural skin while also being light, antibacterial, and highly resistant to certain chemical agents.

We use high-performance Vegan Leather that's resistant to the elements, however, dirt can still collect on the surface. To clean, simply wipe your Xenas down with a cloth using warm and soapy water. Avoid placing your shoes next to a direct heat source as they dry to prevent material damage.

Yes! We handcraft our beautiful safety shoes using light, flexible, breathable, Full-Grain, Nubuck, and Suede leathers of the highest quality.

We also offer the Omega and Valence models in our high-performance vegan leather that replicates the beautiful aesthetics of natural leather while staying highly resistant to water, chemicals, abrasion, tearing, tension, flexion, and perspiration.

The majority of our beautiful work boots and safety shoes are made in North America. They are designed, certified, packaged, and shipped in United States, while the handcrafting happens in León, Mexico.

Our Athletic Line (Astra, Astra Lite, Luna) are likewise designed here in the Midwest and manufactured in China.

All of our safety shoes go up to a size 12, while the Horizon and Gravity models go up to a size 13!

2) We include a plastic certification card with most of our models that lists the safety credentials of your specific shoe

Yes it is! While we love our incredibly soft, antimicrobial, air-flow insole, we completely understand that you may want to customize yours. The good news is that you can absolutely do so.

–IMPORTANT– if you wish to retain the Static Dissipative properties of your shoes, we do NOT recommend using a different insole from the one that came with your shoes.

We strongly advise to wear your new Xenas at home for 2-4 days to ensure you have the right size. During break-in the footbed settles, leather stretches, and shoe-padding will take on the shape of your foot. If you have lace-ups, lace them-up half way to minimize any discomfort in the toe-bend area.

Please 🙏 avoid wearing your boots outside until you’re certain the fit works well. Unfortunately, our small team cannot accept worn Xenas that show signs of wear for returns or exchanges.

FULL-GRAIN LEATHER
• Wipe your shoes with a damp cloth to remove any dirt and sediment
• Avoid placing your shoes next to a direct heat source as they dry to avoid material damage
• Apply a neutral Shoe Cream to maintain the luster and shine of the full-grain leather
• Use Mink Oil or a Lanolin-based product to help waterproof and protect the leather from moisture

NUBUCK LEATHER CARE
• Use a soft bristle brush to remove dirt, sediment and to maintain the fluff of the nubuck leather
• You can use waterproofing sprays made especially for nubuck leather to protect it from the elements

SUEDE LEATHER CARE
• Consider applying a stain repellent to your beautiful suede shoes to prolong their beautiful looks
• Dirt, debris, and scuffs are best removed using a suede cleaning brush
• To get rid of darker stains, try using a regular pencil eraser
• A suede cleaner is another great refurbishment option

All of our utility blazers and work pants are low-maintenance featuring fabrics that are easy to care for:

• Machine washable (do not need dry cleaning)
• Machine wash cold with similar colors (do not beach)
• Tumble dry low and hang to dry
• Turn inside out and iron with low heat (if needed)

Our Hi-Vis Safety Vests are also machine-washable:
• Machine-wash warm
• Cold Rinse-Max30
• Do NOT bleach
• Do NOT iron
• Do NOT tumble dry
• Do NOT dry-clean

OSHA, ASTM, and ANSI do not have heel-height restrictions for safety footwear. Your company is choosing to have these restrictions on their own.

This is a major issue that can cause inadvertent gender discrimination. How do we know? We conducted a case study and published an official white paper which identifies this double standard.
